wow 100th posts? At least i'm not slacking too much eh. i have here a few paintings i've done over the past week or so. They're both quick studies. The Batman took about 2 hours, while the watercolours are just quick sketches

doodles at dinner

Had a late night dinner tonight, and did a few sketches while my girlfriend traversed booby trap laden mazes as a ninja in N+. Yes, my phone camera isn't the greatest. OH WELL!

some people sketches

Caricaturing bodies is something i haven't done very often. I'm going to fill this sketchbook up with these, work on my design skills a bit.

Oliver, you have influenced me, sir.

NCN art dump

Here is my dump of art to not only make up for the lack of dumps lately, but also because I was at the NCN and had a few somewhat decent sketches i suppose.

Definitely inspiring to see so many people share the same interest, and I know i have lots to work on for next year. My buddy Oliver busted out some great stuff that week. GJ MAN!

As for me...I was in a bit of a rut for a day or two, but tried to recover. here's what i came up with!

NCN madness

I am down at the NCN in NC and it is insane. Overwhelming talent. And overwhelming workload. I did not know what to expect coming down here and I did not realize that competition was such a huge part of it. Andrea put it correctly 'it's like an art jam, sketch jam, caricature, tournament'. We essentially build a portfolio in 4 days.

Yesterday Court Jones had a pretty informative seminar on digital speed painting. Learned about a new brush, and here's what I came up with today. It's Bram Stoker. The goal was to do it in 20-30 mins, but it's so hard to put the stylus down when it's not finished. It ended up being around 45 or so.
